Eduardo Santander, Summer Intern
Hi, my name is Eduardo Santander and I am currently a rising junior at Mount St. Mary's University. At the Mount, I am pursuing a B.S. degree in Health Science - PT along with a Business minor. The reason why I decided to pursue physical therapy is because I had a background in high school sports, particularly football, lacrosse, and track and I just could not let that go away. Even though I was unfortunate to continue to play sports at the next level, the body's functions, abilities, and capabilities fascinated me so much that I knew I somehow wanted to be involved in sports and health. Fortunately for me, I was able to avoid injuries that would have prevented me to play sports, but I know many cases where injuries ruin a person's aspirations to attempt to live his/her dreams. Becoming a physical therapist would allow me to prevent others to avoid injuries and allow me to help a person on his/her path to recovery so that they can attempt to live his/her dream. Other than my interests in physical therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, watching and playing sports, weight lifting and nutrition, competitive running, and watching new movies in theaters.
