Orthopedic Therapy

Orthopedics is a medical specialty concerned with the correction of functional impairments of the musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal system includes all the body’s bones, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Orthopedic physical therapy is used to treat many conditions including sprains, strains, tendonitis, arthritis, ligament tears, muscle tears, joint/muscle/tendon inflammations, post fracture injury, joint stiffness, joint pain, rotator cuff repair, ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) reconstruction, and post arthroscopic and total joint replacement surgeries.

Our Doctor of Physical Therapy, Dr. Earl Cox, is OCS certified. An Orthopedic Clinical Specialist is a physical therapist who has earned board certification as a specialist in orthopedics. Therapists with this credential have completed at least 2,000 hours of direct patient care in orthopedics and passed a written exam.
